Recently, the launch ceremony of the "Afya Kesho: Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health Intervention Project Based on Kenyan Communities" and the Zhende Medical Corporate Social Responsibility Forum were held in Tatu New Town, Nairobi, the capital of Kenya. Nearly 50 guests from China and Kenya attended the event.
This project is jointly funded by Zhende Medical and Pomegranate Seed Charity Fund, and initiated by the Vanke School of Public Health at Tsinghua University and the Kenyan non-governmental organization IHEA. The aim is to improve the health knowledge level of Kenyan adolescents and reduce their health risks through innovative educational methods. The project will be piloted at Ngewe Primary School in Kiambu County and Roysambu Primary School and Mcedo Beijing School in Nairobi County, benefiting thousands of Kenyan children and adolescents.
At the launch ceremony, Vice Chairman Shen Zhenfang shared Zhende Medical's strategic layout and future plans in Kenya. Zhuo Wu, Chairman of the Kenya Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Titus Murungi, Deputy Director of the Kenyan non-governmental organization IHEA, and Professor Tang Kun from the Vanke School of Public Health at Tsinghua University shared their views on the social responsibility of Chinese enterprises, the situation of IHEA, and the health education of Kenyan youth. Finally, Judy Sadia, Principal of Ngewe Primary School in Kimbu County, expressed sincere gratitude to various funding and implementation parties such as Zhende Medical, and expressed the high support and expectations of local educators for the project.

All guests expressed their positive expectations for the project and emphasized the importance of education and health, as well as the significance of this cooperation for the friendship and development between China and Kenya. After the launch ceremony, an expert symposium on project design and execution was held. Shen Zhenfang, Vice Chairman of Zhende Medical, had in-depth discussions with Chinese and Kenyan experts such as Professor Tang Kun from Tsinghua University, Professor Tammary Esho, Vice President of Amref University, and Zhou Tao, Founder and CEO of Africa Nuolian Technology, on specific issues related to project implementation, innovation, and sustainability. The founders of the Pomegranate Seed Easy Love Foundation, Lu Yiping and Ye Shenghan, as well as newly joined members Shen Yilei and Zhang Yunxi, actively participated in the discussion and contributed their views and insights.

The launch of the "Afya Kesho: Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health Intervention Project Based on Kenyan Communities" public welfare project is an important milestone for Zhende Medical to fulfill its social responsibility overseas.
